Make babies?!
The possibility of this decision required lots of prayer, as a) we are about 6 months shy of our "this would be the logical time to make a baby" date (which, coincidentally, is when Jackson Van appeared on the scene;) b) our finances are still up in the air, c) Adam's job is still not as stable as we would like it to be, and d) we paid a pretty penny for a 5-year IUD, which we would be opting out of almost 3.5 years early.
However, after another problem has resulted from my IUD, we (along with my doc and family) have decided that the Lord is probably giving us a sign: it's time to take that thing out! because e) I only get one lifespan and one uterus for having babies!
Sure, we can continue using other forms of birth control once the device is removed, but after a year of asking God about the "right time" to have another baby, we're feeling like this might just be it.
And so, with equal parts excitement and anxiety, I called the doctor to schedule my appointment! The soonest they can see me is July 7, but because I'm somewhat "at risk" with the device being left in, they will let me know if anything opens up sooner.
I must say, although painful infections are not the sweetest of things,
the end result of a baby is ;)

a. I'm sorry you're having problems with your IUD! I tried having one put in after Brother was born and after three tries and many tears my doctor and I decided that an IUD just isn't for me.
b. yay, babies!
c. clearly the holy spirit is at work in your lives. God always provides...even if we don't know or fully understand his method. That's just how mighty God is--so mighty that we can't even fathom most of his love for us.
