Simple Pleasures

We picked up Adam from the airport last night, and he decided today we should celebrate my belated Mother's Day ;)

* Adam got up with Jack at 6 and brought him into bed so we could all cuddle for a bit.
* They let me "sleep in" (aka, listen to them be silly) and enjoy the flowers in my bedroom-- compliments of my lovely Mama-- while Ad gave Jack breakfast (banana muffins I made the other day in cute mini-muffin-tins, also given by my Mama).

* He watched Jackson while I went to my Spin/Abs class at the gym, meaning that...
* I got to shower right after class (as opposed to my usual: rushing to pick up the boy and then hanging out in my stench until I can cram in a shower at naptime), and then...
* I headed to the market BY MYSELF, which allowed me to take time in trying out our new grocery/menu program (more on that later).
* When I got home to unload groceries with the help of Sir Jack, Adam touched base with work stuff in the office, and then we all walked to lunch at a yummy local taco place-- compliments of the Visa Gift Card from my sweet mother-in-law!

* After Jack went down for his nap, I caught up on paperwork/emails, then prepped dinner in my fab new handmade apron-- compliments of some of the crafty women in my MOMs (Ministry of Motherhood) group at church!

Other simple pleasures of today included...

* Doing dishes while eying my beautiful custom painted frame featuring the artist himself:

* Opening a few of our newly organized/lined drawers (one of my projects while Adam was away):

* Discovering that our latest bout of sleep-deprived nastiness may be the result of HARK! A two-year molar!

* Washing the car and enjoying the sunshine with my little helper Bean!

A GREAT (continued) Mother's Day, indeed!

Sidenote: I decided to document this day for memory on those not-so-great days.
It's amazing how much more smoothly our family functions when we are all intact.
Thank you, Adam, for being here...
and well, for being there-- away on business, providing for our family-- too ;)
